CLASS INFORMATION
(mRiding smart from the start! Those who were born after Jan. 1, 1985 and want to ride on public lands in Wisconsin, needed to take an official approved snowmobile safety course, and the Somerset Sno-Sports instructors are here to meet the challenge again!
The Somerset Sno-Sports Snowmobile Club Our club has been teaching snowmobile safety for more than 30 years, with over 1,000 students graduating. A total of 31 youth (under the age of 16) received their certificates on December 10th, 2022 and are now sharing our passion for riding on public trails. We were honored by all the youth who joined us in person, and look forward to many more years of training more snowmobiling enthusiasts.
The Somerset Sno-Sports Safety Class will include snowmobile & ATV again this year (you must register separately for both classes on the DNR website). Class dates & times for 2024-2025 season are Friday, 12/13 & Saturday, 12/14. Ages 12 and over need a DNR number to register. Please check the DNR Go Wild website to register and for more classes in surrounding communities.
A thank you for the generous donation of space by St. Croix Marine & Power in Somerset, WI, and donations of tables & chairs from Celebrations Party Rentals for the 2023 classes.

Per the Wisconsin DNR:
Wisconsin is the birthplace of snowmobiling and continues to offer some of the best snowmobiling opportunities you are likely to find, especially in northern Wisconsin. More than 200,000 registered snowmobiles hit Wisconsin's 25,000 miles of groomed trails each winter, making safety an important part of the ride.
